Why his name
A name that carries a conviction.
Founded on 3 August 1992 in Bangalore by Shri D. Eerappa and Smt. Hemi Manjunatha, the Trust took the name of Babu Jagjivan Ram because his conviction is its own. His life's work was the upliftment of the depressed classes — and the Trust carries that work forward, serving without profit motive and without distinction of caste, creed or religion.
He held that dignity, education and opportunity were not gifts to be granted, but rights to be honoured. That belief shapes everything the Trust does: quiet, steady work that offers dignity, not pity, so that lives may be lifted.
